This computer games company had a high activity site which was becoming out of date and not supportable. Their high tech audience was demanding new features, and in the ever-changing game industry the products were changing rapidly. Also the consumer protection laws required changes to the way information was presented and to whom it was shown.

The system now includes a Sybase backend data base for orders, customer information and contains the actual site content. A Content Management System which is administered by non-technical personnel can make instantaneous changes to the site and update all servers automatically. We also implemented increases in the hardware capacity, improved redundancy to improve site availability and to provide room for the anticipated growth in site traffic.

Selection by Capcom of an appropriate e-business solutions vendor involved a thorough review of relevant providers. "Ultimately, we selected Miranet/Miranet because we were convinced Miranet has the ability to understand and meet our needs," explains Jon Monday, director of Internet and online business at Capcom USA. "Miranet provides solutions that help implement our overall e-business marketing strategy while being sensitive to both our budgetary requirements, operational time frames, and most importantly, our large and growing web consumer base."
